The Owner's cabin has a US Queen-Size/UK King-Size double-berth in fore-aft orientation - no climbing over your partner to get into bed, unlike many other Cats.
|
The raised double-berth offers substantial amounts of storage underneath. The port engine battery is also located under the Owner's berth. Additional storage is provided by shelving built into the base, and a large inspection hatch (see left) offers easy access to the starboard fuel tank under the floorboards.
Ample clothes-hanging space is provided within the large closet and adjacent foot-locker.
(Above) Emergency escape-hatch was replaced in 2015. Additional storage is available under the hatch. A small cupboard adjacent to the escape hatch offers some storage, and access to the through-hulls/ball-valves for galley sink drain, fridge pump outlet and shower-pump drain. Inlet for fridge cooling water (through-hull/ball-valve), fridge-pump, strainers and non-return valves are accessed by lifting the floorboard.

The door to the Owner's cabin opens onto the passageway past the desk into the Owner's bathroom, head and shower. Additional hanging space and storage space is provided by lockers on either side of this passageway.
Entering the Owner's bathroom, head and shower. Below, left; view looking through into the shower. Below right; view of the bathroom. The small spigot in the center of the sink is for collection of drinking water taken directly from the watermaker (i.e. doesn't pass through the water tanks and plumbing). Guests like the idea of drinking freshly-purified water that hasn't been stored, although all the water is "drinking water quality".
Two Guest cabins and combined head/bathroom/shower are located in the port pontoon.
The aft cabin has a raised US Queen-sized/UK King-sized double berth, in the same fore-aft orientation as that in the Owner's cabin.

Space under the raised bed contains 3 large 12-volt Group 8D dual-purpose AGM 245 Amp-hour "house" batteries (West Marine), a 1500 watt water-heater, battery charger, charge-controllers for the solar panels and wind-generator, plus the port engine battery, are also located under the bed leaving a small amount of storage for infrequently-used items.
Hanging and storage space is available within the large closet to the right on entering the cabin.
All cabins are equipped with a 12-volt fan, fire-extinguisher and 2 LED reading lights.
|
A Xantrex Pro XM 1800 inverter is currently located on the upper shelf at the base of the bed, for easy access. The lower shelf is available for storage, and also provides access to the port fuel tank via a large inspection port.
Some additional storage space is available under the port emergency escape hatch (replaced 2015).
|
The port combined head/bathroom/shower is located between the two port cabins. Both port and starboard heads are electric Jabsco "Quiet-Flush" systems fed via Jabsco ParMax water pumps.
"Commoderizer" units (https://www.commoderizer.com/) are fitted between the ParMax pumps and the toilet bowl to prevent toilet/holding tank odor and calcification of sanitation hoses. The sanitation system was replaced in 2016. |
The port forward cabin is a tapered double-berth (shown here made up as a single berth). All the space under the bed is available for storage of infrequently-accessed bulky items.
|
Additional storage is available in a cupboard to the right of the door on entering the cabin, and also under the port-light.
